Ambien Sleeping Pill Causes Car Accidents
Ambien is a prescription drug for sleep disorders. Over 26 million Americans take it to help with insomnia or other sleep disorders. But a recent study has found that Ambien has been responsible for some serious car accidents.
After taking Ambien, some people are sleepwalking to their cars and driving while still asleep. The Ambien label warns about side-effects of sleepwalking and hallucinations. Some experts are now saying the warning label should be much more prominent and stronger.

Hi! I've been taking Ambien due to some sleeping trouble since the middle of last year... But I really do not agree with you!
In fact, Ambien producer (Sanofi, I think) has show sufficient precautions and if some similar cases happened, this is statistically impossible that it can't happen for some people. We are all different and the risks, secondary effects are known and well precised...
I assume personally danger for drugs consumption and I don't try to find a scapegoat. Life is a danger, isn't it?
I can't believe it took this long for these kinds of side effects to be discovered! I took Ambien in 2004. It would make me feel sleepy and then after that I would "black out." I could remember bits and pieces of things when I was in the "black out," but not the whole time I was in it. One time I had that sleepy feeling, and a friend called and asked me to come over. I made it there, but once I got there the "blackout" occurred. I can barely remember being there. And the drive home was very hard. Then another time, mt boyfriend said he woke up and found me having conversations with people who were not there. (What I remember is that all my friends were over and we were talking - and in reality they were not there, I was having a hallucination!) It terrified him and after that I stopped taking it. Maybe some people aren't affected like that, but I am glad that it is now known that Ambien CAN cause these effects.
I have taken Ambien for years and have never had a problem with it. In fact, the quality of my life improved greatly. MY depression and PMS practically stopped, I am less irritable and more compassionate.
I do have some memory loss but depression does that too, so it pretty much evens out.
There is some evidence that electromagetic fields from computers and cell phone towers can cause insomnia. See, for example, Nakazawa in the American Journal of Industrial Medicine. Computer users suffered much more insomnia than other office workers that did not use computers.
My point is that men have altered the natural environment in ways that affect sleep for the vulnerable. These kind of environmental alterations are not necessarily fixed by meditation or exercise.
I found that my insomnia was severe when I worked with computers even though I walked 18-20 miles a week at the time and practically stopped when I got a job that did not involve computers.
However, all jobs involve either computers or wireless technology, now. Therefore, I can no longer sleep without Ambien unless I sleep outdoors in a tent.
For me, Ambien is the lesser of two evils.
Thanks for your views on this.
cheers,
Mitra

My name is Catherine Snow and i would like to show you my personal experience with Ambien.
I have taken for 1 years. I am 57 years old. Works great if I take it on an empty stomach, and get right into bed. If you take it and try to keep yourself awake, you can override the pill and be up all night.
Side Effects :
None.
I hope this information will be useful to others,
Catherine Snow
